Jerry is a technology consultant, project team member for Rakudo Perl and the Parrot virtual machine, an active participant in the Perl 6 design process, and the founder of Rakudo Consulting Group. He is comfortable thinking and coding in Perl 5 & 6, Parrot assembly, and C, and both managing and working with a distributed group of hackers on a large project with a heterogeneous, complex codebase. Jerry is also an expert on deploying, customizing, and managing enterprise change management tools such as Serena Dimensions.

Patrick is the lead developer ("pumpking") for Rakudo Perl, the Parrot Compiler Toolkit, and the Parrot Grammar Engine. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and was formerly a Professor of Computer Science at Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi. He is also the author of PmWiki®, a popular open-source wiki engine. Patrick enjoys designing and building systems that help others solve problems, and creating support communities around those systems. He is fluent in Perl, C, Parrot, and many other languages, tools, and utilities.

Allison is chief architect and lead developer of the open source project Parrot. In over 25 years as a programmer, she has developed everything from games to linguistic analysis tools, e-commerce websites, shipping fulfillment, compilers, and database replication systems, worked as a language designer, project manager, conference organizer, editor, and consultant, been president of an open source software foundation, written two books, and founded a tech publishing company.

Jonathan Worthington, Consultant

Jonathan has worked on the Parrot Virtual Machine since 2003 and on the Rakudo Perl 6 compiler since 2007, with a focus on object orientation and bytecode handling. He holds a first class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, where he specialized in compilers, virtual machines and type systems. Aside from Parrot and Perl 6, Jonathan also has an in-depth knowledge of the .Net platform, having worked on a .Net to Parrot bytecode translator.

Shane Warden has a decade of experience contributing to and developing free software. He sits on the board of the Parrot Foundation and is co-author of The Art of Agile Development, published by O'Reilly Media.

Jeff is the lead developer of mod_parrot, the platform on which mod_perl6 is being developed. He has been a professional system administrator for over a decade, and is proficient in C, Perl, Parrot, and shell scripting. Jeff enjoys designing and maintaining large scale distributed systems and making disparate technologies work together. He is a Sun certified system administrator and holds a Bachelor of Science in Cellular & and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan.
